India, Mumbai, Dharavi slum research photos

These photos show the case study of 2,5 weeks local field research in Dharavi, Mumbai slum. Dharavi is chosen because it is one of the largest slums worldwide and has developed a large business culture; Dharavi has an estimated annual turnover of 650 million dollar.

The outcome of this research is used by Delft University of Technology to develop a logistics/communication solution. This will be part of the graduation project of Judith van der Werf. outcome has been presented at the WBCSD  at 200+ CEO’s from multinational companies.
